Although we, Nora and Sheldon Davis live inland, full-time, about a hour to the west, we come to South Padre Island often. It is important to us that you feel comfortable in our beachfront home. As the owners, naturally, our goal is to make your visit with us as best as it can be!

Sunchase Beachfront located on beautiful South Padre Island is a fully gated community with full-time security. Since 1999, our beachfront condo has become a second home to hundreds of guests, who return each year. As Owner Operators, our goal is to exceed your Vacation Expectations!

Located on the top floor, you'll have a great view of the immaculate green lawn, the sparkling pool, the scenic sand dunes, and the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico at sunrise.
Enjoy your morning cup of coffee and watch the waves roll unto the sandy beach, listen to the sounds of the ocean as pelicans soar overhead.

The open concept kitchen, living room, dining area is just waiting for your family or friends to get together to laugh, live, and make memories to last a lifetime.

The kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and every small appliance we could imagine. Fully equipped with utensils, plates, cups, drinking glasses and pots and pans. If you don't find it, let me know.

The dining table seats 6-8 depending on if you open it up using the disappearing leaf that is built into the table. Additionally, the snack bar seats three more, and we have a high chair for the littlest member of your crew.

Watch TV on the 48 inch flat screen, installed for viewing from anywhere in the living room, dining room or kitchen. With a beautiful interior, stunning view and easy beach access, Sunchase Beachfront is truly the setting for your fantasy vacation on South Padre Island!

we so loved our vacation and the staff at Sunchase was as wonderful as always - Nora D did everything possible to make our arrangements as easy and seamless as possible and we breezed in and began making life at the beach as wonderful as we always remembered it. WE have been coming to sunchase since 1986 so you KNOW we are fans and we are now fans of 228!!! love it

A perfect family vacation! (by Angela S.)
My family and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful condo. I've stayed at many different units in the Sunchase complex and think that the Davis' place might just be the best. It's quiet, roomy, and the kitchen is laid out in such a way that you can accommodate cooking for a large group (which we did one night when family staying at other units came over for a kingfish dinner). In addition, the couch pulls out into a comfortable sleeper, they have a pack n play, a twin air mattress is available, and there is an array of beach toys, chairs, and (now,) an umbrella with a sand anchor. Other units might have more expensive finishes, but for the comfort, price, and functionality, this unit can't be beat. Plus, the Davis' are extremely kind and want to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. Whenever we return to the island, we'll be checking to see if this unit is available.
Owner's Response: Golly Angela: Appreciate you saying that our place might just be the best. Also, I guess you noticed that the couch sleeper has one of those 'memory foam' mattresses. I think that makes a difference to the person using the pull out. We are certainly glad you used the pack n play, the twin air mattresses, the beach toys, chairs, and umbrella with a sand anchor. We had a wonderful time staying in this condo for a month. It has everything you need to feel at home and the location is great for beach access and all the shops and restaurants. It's better than the pictures or the description. Nora and Sheldon were great to work with and responded to all inquiries and issues immediately. We loved this complex and hope to return.

Our families had a wonderful vacation stay in Sheldon & Nora's condo. They couldn't have been more helpful! Everything in the condo was perfect for our needs. Sheldon and Nora called to check on us shortly after we arrived and quickly assisted with wifi passwords and other little details! The view from this room is beautiful and the beach access is clean and easy to get to. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to come back again next year!

Wonderful condo! (by Orlando S.)
Stayed here for a long weekend with my wife and our two sons (one a toddler, the other 8 weeks old). The condo was wonderful - great location, nice view, tastefully decorated and well stocked with beach necessities. They even had a pack-n-play for our little one, which saved us from packing up our own and lugging it down to SPI. Nora was very responsive, and sent very detailed directions on how to get settled in. Overall, a great experience. We'll be staying there again.

We also like to keep the plastic chest filled with beach toys. Having our guests not have to lug extra stuff to the island is certainly something we are glad to do. Our Stay on Padre (by Scott H.)
Our stay was great! The condo was comfortable and became like a second home. The owners had nice amenities and good access to the beach. I would comment on the office staff who were not welcoming or very friendly. It appeared they were young and uninterested in assisting my family. That was a poor beginning to the start of our vacation. Also I was unable to receive my key deposit due to there not being anyone in the office at the time of our departure. But we did not let that detour us and when calling the owners with a question they were receptive and extremely friendly. They are without a doubt willing to go out of their way to make a stay at their condo a memorable one. The condo was roomy and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our beach vacation. I would definitely recommend the Davis's condo to any and all. Thank you for opening up your beachfront to our family. S.H

Sunchase Beachfront (by The Figs)
The Sunchase Beachfront condos are awesome. This was our first visit to South Padre in ten years. We had a marvelous time. The condo was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen was well equipped for those that like to cook. The location of the condo was ideal - right on the beach and close to the swimming pools (a shallow pool for kids and the larger one for everyone else). The swimming pools were immaculate. I can't say enough about the easy and close access to the beach. Sitting on the balcony drinking coffee in the morning and grilling steaks in the evening with a marvelous view of the gulf was fantastic. The owners of the condo, Nora and Sheldon Davis were great - very responsive and helpful. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back next year.

Better then we could have ever dreamed! (by Maria G.)
This was our second year to visit South Padre Island for our summer vacation. We were forced to look for a bigger condo this summer due to more family members coming with us! We’re so glad we did! We absolutely loved the condo, it was perfect for us! Getting up early and being able to sit on the back patio having your coffee and watching the morning waves roll in had to be the best part for me. My kids (all over 18 years old) enjoyed the very short walk to the beach and having beach chairs, towels, and some toys made it even better for them. They also encountered many young people at the pool and on the beach. Thank you so much Davis family for renting us exactly what you promised a home away from home! It was fabulous!
